Blackpink's "Born Pink" tour stop in Australia was cut short by Jennie's "deteriorating condition," according to YG Entertainment.
On June 11, the agency published a statement apologizing to fans and hoping she would recover soon.
“Jennie was unable to complete the stage due to her deteriorating condition,” the entertainment agency announced on the fan community on WeVerse.
“We apologize to all Blackpink supporters and event attendees. Please understand.”
Jennie, Rosé, Lisa, and Jisoo danced to "Lovesick Girls" in fan-captured footage. The singer and "Idol" actor pauses, turns, and exits the stage.
Jennie had a "strong determination to carry on with the performance until the end," but doctors encouraged her to stop. “We immediately ensured she receives ample rest and stability,” YG said.
Blackpink will end their global tour in Auckland later this month. On June 16 and 17, they'll perform two sold-out gigs at Sydney's Qudos Bank Arena.
Jennie made her acting debut in Sam Levinson's new HBO show "The Idol" with Lily Rose-Depp, the Weeknd, Troye Sivan, and others.
"The Idol"'s second episode, "Double Fantasy," expanded Jennie's position as a supporting character on the same day as her dramatic withdrawal from the event.
