Don Lee wants every punch to hurt.

Nobody compares to Don Lee. The imposing Korean action star, also known as Ma Dong-seok,

is known for his powerful build, punishing blows, and easy charm.

He had a long and prosperous career at home before being cast as Gilgamesh in Marvel's Eternals.

He gained international recognition for his scene-stealing performance in Train to Busan.

The third (and best) installment of the hugely successful Roundup crime thriller series,

which has gained acclaim not only in Korea but also internationally, is Lee's most recent film, The Roundup: No Way Out.

The actor and Polygon corresponded via email, answering questions about his action philosophy and influences,

the time he almost appeared in a John Wick film, and his opinions on the upcoming Train to Busan remake.
