"James Cameron's Avatar 5 Delay Reminds Us of His Bold Vision"

The new release date for Avatar 5 demonstrates how insane James Cameron is. The fourth Avatar sequel was previously scheduled to be released in 2028,

but a revised rollout strategy from Disney and director James Cameron will stretch the Avatar franchise into the 2030s.

Cameron's original Avatar, the highest-grossing film of all time, debuted in 2009, with the first sequel Avatar:

The Way of Water arriving in 2022. Avatar 5 may be the conclusion of the franchise,

but Cameron's enthusiasm for directing suggests that there is much more to come from the enigmatic director.

Disney has announced delays for Avatar 3, 4, and 5, as well as other upcoming Marvel and Star Wars projects.

Avatar 5 is set in a future timeline from the original trilogy and is supposed to change the Na'vi's perspective of Earth and humanity,

specifically Neytiri. While nothing is known about the plot of Avatar 5, this is not the first time the highly anticipated sequel has been delayed.
