Scarlett Johansson's 'Secret Marvel Project' is still in the works.

Though Black Widow's time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has come to an end, Scarlett Johansson's is not.

During an interview with ComicBook.com, the acclaimed actress confirmed that her Marvel Studios project is "still happening,"

but is now on hold due to the writers strike and a prospective SAG-AFTRA strike.

"It's still going on." "Yes," Johansson said. "It's still happening, but not right now because nothing is happening."

We're all in a holding pattern, waiting through the writers' strike and perhaps our own guild strike, and so on.

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige first teased the concept in 2021. While details are scant,

it has been announced that Johansson will be producing a non-Black Widow project for Marvel Studios.

The actress recently stated that she is no longer playing Black Widow, which explains why she is producing and working on a project unconnected to the persona.
